The Tigers Roar! BBI01 review

As the first season of BBI comes to an end it's time to look back on the season that was for the mighty Hills Tigers.

The Tigers represented Hills Indoor Sports with plenty of heart and determination throughout the season. The 2015 season saw plenty of new faces joining the experienced heads of the former Blacktown Tigers, this allowed many of our youngsters to have a taste of the game at a representative level, a decision that will no doubt benefit our club in years to come.

We had two teams place in the final series this season, congratulations to our men's 2's and 3's for making it through to the preliminary finals. Premier League finished in 5th, one spot outside the top 4, a good effort in a revamped and extremely tight competition that saw many top players return to the game. A great effort by our men’s 4's and 5's as they build towards the next few years with the next generation of top tigers. A big shout out to Jack Hancock and Ethan Debono who were our youngest tigers at just 13 years of age, big futures await these boys.

We saw a number of cracking matches take place throughout the season, our premier league boys were involved in one of the lower scoring games of all times defeating Penrith 32-7 at the Thunderdome as well as chasing down a monster 154 against Newcastle at the Tigers Den.

Our men’s 2's were our sole minor premiers for the 2015 season, a well-deserved premiership with 9 wins and 5 losses to cap off a great season.

I would like to personally thank Justin and Heidi for all their work throughout the season, the Tigers would not be possible without their hard work and contribution each and every week.

Secondly, I'd like to thank all the spectators and fans who spent their Saturday evenings supporting the Tigers and the centre, your constant support is incredible.

Finally, I’d like to personally thank every single Tigers player for their contribution during the 2015 season. The Tigers have a brilliant culture and atmosphere that is present at every home game, this can only be achieved by a great bunch of guys and supporters coming together to support our mighty franchise.

We look forward to seeing everybody back for BBI02 in 2016.
